A search engine indexer stores pages so a search engine can return them in results. The term also describes the tools that help a page get into that store. This page covers both, and the honest limits of the second.

The two meanings
In its first sense, an indexer is internal to a search engine. Google, Bing and the IndexNow participants each run one: a system that parses what a crawler fetched, decides whether the page is worth keeping, and writes it into a structure that queries can search in milliseconds.
In its second sense, and the one used by this product, an indexer is a tool that a site owner runs to push URLs toward those systems and then observe the result. It does not index anything itself. It notifies, submits and audits.
That distinction is worth holding onto, because it is where most of the marketing in this category overreaches.
How a page gets into the index
Discovery
A search engine finds a URL. Through links from other pages, a sitemap, or a direct notification such as IndexNow.
Crawling
A crawler fetches the page, respecting robots.txt and any noindex directive it meets.
Rendering and parsing
The engine reads the HTML, runs JavaScript where it does, and extracts the text, links and structured data.
Indexing
The page is stored in the index, keyed by the canonical URL the engine selected.
Serving
The page becomes eligible to appear in results. Whether it actually ranks is a separate, later question.

Guarantee crawling or indexing. Reach Google through IndexNow, because Google is not a participant. Index a backlink on a domain the owner does not control.

IndexNow is a single open protocol. One notification is shared with every participating engine: Microsoft Bing, Yandex, Naver, Seznam.cz and Yep. There is nothing to configure per engine.
Google does not participate in IndexNow. It is reached through the Google Indexing API, sitemaps and Search Console, and the API is documented by Google for JobPosting and BroadcastEvent content.
AI search is downstream of the index, not a separate submission channel. Bing's index is what Microsoft Copilot, DuckDuckGo and ChatGPT web search draw on. OpenAI also runs OAI-SearchBot for ChatGPT search results, which a site allows independently of model training.

Does an indexer guarantee my page will be indexed?
No. Indexing is the search engine's decision. A tool can tell an engine that a URL exists or changed, and it can show you the outcome, but it cannot compel the engine to store or rank the page. Any product that promises otherwise is overstating what is possible, and that includes this one.
How is this different from a per-link indexing service?
Per-link services sell credits against individual URLs, often URLs the customer does not own. This is a console: you verify a domain you control, connect your own Google service account, and it submits, audits and reports. Nothing is submitted on your behalf to a page you do not control.
